Whitley Warriors have tonight announced the signing of left winger Ben Campbell who makes his return to
Hillheads after twelve seasons away from the club. Campbell progressed through Whitley’s
junior setup to first appear for the Warriors during their 2002-03 campaign and he then went on to ice for the side for a further three seasons,
accumulating thirty eight points in forty two league games. In 2006, Campbell
opted to play for Newcastle Vipers and featured for both their Elite League and
ENL outfits, remaining at the club for four seasons before icing for
Guildford Flames in the EPL alongside Whitley’s current player-coach, David
Longstaff. Over the course of eight seasons with the Flames, Campbell
accomplished three hundred and ten points in three hundred and ninety one
league games and he will therefore bring a great deal of skill and creativity to Whitley’s line-up when he makes a welcome return to the Warriors’ roster next month.
