Whitley Warriors have
this evening announced the signing of Canadian forward Philip Edgar who joins
the Hillheads club after collectively featuring in ten games for the University
of Waterloo and Milverton 4WheelDrives over the last two seasons. Starting out
with junior setup Kitchener Rangers in 2008, Edgar quickly progressed to play for
his hometown club in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League where he remained
for two seasons, tallying sixty eight points in the ninety two games he
played for the side. More recently playing three seasons in the Eastern Ontario
Junior Hockey League for Ottawa West Golden Knights, Edgar fulfilled the role
of alternate captain during the side’s 2014-15 campaign, notching twenty four goals and twenty assists. With an impressive record in Canada’s junior leagues, it
is now hoped that Edgar can demonstrate his ability in front of goal when he
makes his debut for the Warriors next month.
