Billingham Stars have today confirmed
the return of reliable defenceman Ben Davison who, first starting out with the
Bombers’ Under 16s team in 2004, progressed through the junior ranks to
eventually ice for the Teesside-based club in the English National League.
After his first senior season with Billingham in their 2008-09 campaign, the temporary closure of The Forum led Davison to ice at Hillheads for Whitley Warriors and,
subsequently, the Northern Stars. Following the reopening of The Forum in 2011,
Davison returned to his hometown club to play thirty two league games, chipping in with points where he could. In recent campaigns, the blue
liner has been a consistent member of Billingham’s roster to find himself named
alternate captain last season but, hampered by injury in his latest term,
Davison missed out on eleven of the Stars’ league games and will therefore be
looking to bounce back from this disappointment when he ices for Billingham
again in September.
