Sharks
snap up superb signing as Hutchinson switches to NIHL
Experienced defenceman
and former Whitley Warrior James Hutchinson is the latest to sign for Solway Sharks
this evening as the Dumfries outfit continue to bolster their blue line.
Having previously iced for five Elite League clubs, including Hull Stingrays and Belfast Giants, Hutchinson
has more recently featured in the EPL and makes the switch to Solway from
English Premier League side Hull Pirates. Playing forty eight league games last
season, Hutchinson sought out offensive opportunities for his team mates whilst
working hard in defence. Assisting on twenty occasions and chipping in with two
goals for the Pirates in his previous campaign, the disciplined ‘D’ man was also
named alternate captain by the club as a result of his organisation on the power
play and his ability to lead in defence.
Hutchinson joins Juraj Senko,
James Wallace, Stuart Kerr and Stuart Andrews on the Sharks’ blue line as Head Coach
Martin Grubb continues to add to Solway’s defensive line-up.
